Special shape balloons fill Albuquerque skies on Fiesta day 7

Novelty balloons launched across Albuquerque during the seventh day of the 2026 international event. A green flag flew early.

Minimal wind created ideal conditions for the Special Shape Rodeo. Other festivities included chainsaw carving and globitos. A fly-in competition also took place.

Balloon Fiesta Park serves as the launch venue for the gathering. The site provides open field space for pilots.
