Albuquerque reopens Grant Middle School Park after renovations

Albuquerque officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the renovated Grant Middle School Park. The project replaced playground equipment at what city officials described as one of the oldest playgrounds in the district.

“This was one of the oldest playgrounds in my entire district, so everything you see behind you is new. We started from scratch and put in a whole new child’s playground and we are really proud of the way it came out. It’s going to be fun for kids of almost any age,” Albuquerque City Councilor Tammy Fiebelkorn said.

The new equipment includes two playgrounds, a woodchip surface, shade awnings, a tire swing, new gazebos and picnic tables.
