Homicide detectives investigate southeast Albuquerque fatal shooting

Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in southeast Albuquerque. Officers responded to the area of Decatur Avenue and Tennessee Street around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday after reports of a shooting, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.

Following the shooting, officers responded to a second scene involving a crash with injuries near Utah Street and Central Avenue. Police say the crash at the second scene may be related to the fatal shooting.

APD described the investigation as active and said no other details have been released.
