Albuquerque cuts ribbon on revamped Grant Middle School Park

Albuquerque officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony at Grant Middle School Park to mark the completion of a year of planning and renovation. The project replaced what City Councilor Tammy Fiebelkorn described as one of the oldest playgrounds in her district.

“This was one of the oldest playgrounds in my entire district, so everything you see behind you is new,” Fiebelkorn said. “We started from scratch and put in a whole new child’s playground and we are really proud of the way it came out.”

“It’s going to be fun for kids of almost any age,” Fiebelkorn said.

The new equipment includes two playgrounds, a woodchip surface, shade awnings, a tire swing, gazebos and picnic tables.
