Four New Mexico schools compete for Week 8 Spirit Stick

Four high schools across New Mexico are battling in an online vote for the Week 8 spirit award. The campus with the most community support wins an upcoming television broadcast feature. Fans cast ballots online to decide the weekly champion.

The winning campus will appear on New Mexico Friday Night Football. Students and staff will show off their fully decorated award on the show.

The community contest runs on a weekly schedule. Voting opens every Monday at 4 p.m. It closes each Friday at noon. Supporters can vote once every hour.

Weekly spirit contests let communities rally around local high school athletic programs throughout the regular football season. Organizers tally digital ballots each Friday before the broadcast crew visits the selected campus. The final tallies determine which community earns the recognition.

Supporters across New Mexico can cast their ballots online until the noon deadline on Friday.
