Albuquerque hosts Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festival with 200 artists

Two hundred of the nation’s top artists gathered in Albuquerque this weekend. The creators arrived to sell contemporary and classical fine arts, jewelry and other items.

The event is the 36th Annual Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festival. Artists from all over the country set up at the Sandia Resort and Casino.

Guests browsed the art and watched artists at work. Visitors also enjoyed live music, festival foods and a lush golf course in Albuquerque.

The festival is a multi-day arts event. It gathers craftspeople from across the nation to display their work.

The gathering continues next weekend. The festival runs from Oct. 9 through Oct. 11. Tickets are available online.
