Albuquerque police are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian late Wednesday night near Utah Street and Central Avenue. Officers responded to the scene around 11 p.m., the Albuquerque Police Department said.
APD said a truck was traveling south on Utah when it struck a pedestrian who appeared to be crouched in a low-lit area of the road.
The pedestrian died after being taken to the hospital.
Police said the driver was not impaired and that speed was not a factor in the crash.
