Woman sought in Gallup man’s shooting death

Police in Gallup are searching for a woman charged with murder in the shooting death of a man at an apartment last week. Investigators say they found Russell Shack dead at an apartment on Elva Street, and witnesses told police Amber Yazzie pulled a gun and shot him during a confrontation.

Witnesses in the building reported hearing Shack arguing with Yazzie before the shooting, according to police.

Investigators say Yazzie is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs about 135 pounds and has a tattoo on her face.
