Albuquerque police arrest third suspect in 2024 fatal Central Ave. shooting

Albuquerque police have arrested a third suspect in a 2024 fatal shooting on Central Avenue. Kevon Sanders, 24, was charged with an open count of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and shooting from a car.
The shooting killed Travyione Lee in June 2024 while he was driving on Central Avenue. Police said the shots were fired from another car carrying multiple suspects who had been fighting with Lee.
Two other suspects, Tevin King and Jailah Hall, were also arrested in the case. King is in custody on unrelated charges. Hall was released from custody pending trial.
