Rio Rancho’s St. Felix Pantry launches Diaper Pantry

St. Felix Pantry in Rio Rancho is set to open a new Diaper Pantry, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Tuesday. The pantry, launched through the St. Francis Fund, will offer eligible guests a week’s supply of diapers alongside regular food distribution beginning in October.

The Diaper Pantry will distribute diapers on the second Saturday of each month.

“Food insecurity rarely exists in isolation,” Tim Sheahan, president and CEO of St. Felix Pantry, said in a news release. “Many of the families we serve are making difficult choices every day between food, housing, transportation, childcare, and other necessities. By adding diapers to our services, we can help relieve one more burden and provide support that promotes the health, dignity, and well-being of children and families.”

St. Felix Pantry is partnering with the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce on the launch.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. at St. Felix Pantry, 4020 Barbara Loop SE in Rio Rancho. A light lunch will be served.

Community members who bring a box of diapers or make a monetary donation of more than $20 during the event will be entered into a drawing to win a 50-inch Smart TV.
