Lordsburg rescuers pulled a driver from a car submerged in flood waters Monday night beneath a highway underpass. The rescue was carried out by Lordsburg police and fire crews after reports of a vehicle floating in standing water with one person trapped inside.
Hidalgo County Fire Rescue said crews were called to the underpass at Highway 70 and Motel Drive. Reports showed a vehicle floating in flooded water underneath the underpass with one person trapped inside, according to the agency.
Rescue crews on scene said they found five to six feet of water around the trapped car.
Crews located the person inside the vehicle and brought them out. No injuries were reported, according to crews.
