Centric Compounding recalls injectable wellness products over toxin risk
Centric Compounding, a Texas-based compounding pharmacy, has recalled six lots of injectable wellness products nationwide after tests found elevated levels of endotoxins, the company announced. The recall covers Glutathione, Myer’s Cocktail and Tri-Immune Boost injectables sent to prescribers and directly to patients.
The recall was issued Sept. 11 for products the company says are intended to boost immunity, fight fatigue or promote general wellness. Centric Compounding said the affected lots contained a pharmaceutical ingredient with elevated levels of endotoxins, which are toxins produced by pathogenic bacteria.
“There is reasonable probability that injectable products with elevated endotoxin levels could cause significant medical events including fevers, hypotension, inflammatory reactions, anaphylactic shock and death,” Centric Compounding wrote in its recall alert.
The company also acknowledged nine reports of “fever, chills, chest pain, nausea/vomiting, headache, and/or malaise” in the announcement.
The recalled lots include:
- Glutathione 200mg/ml 30mL vials, lot 062326:B, beyond use date Aug. 7, 2026
- Glutathione 200mg/ml 30mL vials, lot 070826:A, beyond use date Aug. 22, 2026
- Glutathione 200mg/ml 30mL vials, lot 072726:D, beyond use date Sept. 5, 2026
- Myer’s Cocktail 30mL vials, lot 070226:D, beyond use date Aug. 16, 2026
- Myer’s Cocktail 30mL vials, lot 072126:A, beyond use date Sept. 4, 2026
- Tri-Immune Boost 30mL vials, lot 071616:B, beyond use date Aug. 30, 2026
Centric Compounding is urging customers to stop using the injectables and discard them. The company said it is arranging for replacements.
