Four New Mexico high schools compete for Spirit Stick Week 5

Four New Mexico high schools are competing in Spirit Stick Week 5, with the winner earning a visit from the fully decked-out Spirit Stick and a feature on New Mexico Friday Night Football. Voters can cast ballots hourly from Monday at 4 p.m. through Friday at noon to determine which school takes the trophy.

The Spirit Stick competition lets schools square off in a vote-based match to find the one with the most spirit. The winning school receives the Spirit Stick in person and is featured on New Mexico Friday Night Football.

Online voting opens each Monday at 4 p.m. and closes Friday at noon. Supporters may vote once per hour. The school with the most votes at the end of the week is named the winner.

The contest is part of Spirit Stick 2026.
