New Mexico Heart Walk set for September 19 in Albuquerque

The annual New Mexico Heart Walk, put on by the American Heart Association of New Mexico, is set for September 19 at Avanyu Plaza at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque. The event will include an artisan market along with resources for people about heart disease.

Heart disease remains a leading cause of death in New Mexico and accounts for roughly 21% of all deaths in the state, according to the American Heart Association. The organization has been a source of health information for more than 100 years and provides resources to save and improve lives affected by cardiovascular disease and stroke.
