Albuquerque Isotopes win MiLB Golden Bobblehead award for heritage night
The Albuquerque Isotopes secured top national honors for their Native American Heritage Night at a Tuesday ceremony. The club accepted the honor during the annual Minor League Baseball Business Summit awards.
The honor recognizes outstanding promotional events, community initiatives, merchandise launches and fan experiences across MiLB. A crowd of 9,676 fans attended the celebration. That attendance was the fifth-largest for the club during the 2026 season.
The team partnered with the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center for the second year. Potter Evone “Snowflake” Martinez designed specialty jerseys alongside the cultural center. Graphic designer Brittney Juancho created a hat giveaway using floral, rain, earth and sky elements.
Sales and an online auction of game-worn signed jerseys raised $24,985. The money supports the Bob Chavez Scholarship for the Arts. It set a club record for revenue from jersey sales and auctions.
“We are incredibly grateful to receive the Golden Bobblehead Award for Native American Heritage Night,” Isotopes General Manager Chrissy Baines said in a news release. “This honor is a testament to our amazing partnership with the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and the meaningful work we’ve been able to accomplish together.”
The evening included traditional dance and music performances. Curated music played during the post-game fireworks show.
Minor League Baseball presents annual business awards to celebrate creative marketing throughout professional baseball leagues. Teams develop local partnerships and merchandise campaigns to engage their communities each season.
The cultural center joined the Albuquerque team to celebrate Native American art and traditions with local fans.
