Albuquerque’s last 7 p.m. sunset falls on Sept. 25

Albuquerque will see its last 7 p.m. sunset of the year on Sept. 25, according to sunrise and sunset data. That timing comes days before the autumn equinox on Tuesday, Sept. 22, after which daylight hours keep shrinking.

The sunset in Albuquerque falls to 7 p.m. on Sept. 25 and drops to 6:58 p.m. by Sept. 26, according to the times provided by Sunrise Sunset.

Santa Fe’s last 7 p.m. sunset falls earlier, on Sept. 23, when the sun sets at 7 p.m. before shifting to 6:59 p.m. the next day.

Las Cruces holds onto a 7 p.m. sunset one day longer than Albuquerque, with the sun setting at 7:01 p.m. on Sept. 25 and dropping to 6:59 p.m. on Sept. 26.

Taos loses its 7 p.m. sunset the soonest of the four cities listed. The sun sets at 7 p.m. on Sept. 22 and falls to 6:59 p.m. the next day.
