Albuquerque motel guest arrested for raping employee

A 23-year-old man staying at an Albuquerque motel was arrested after he allegedly raped a motel employee in his room. The arrest followed an investigation into the Monday assault at the Quality Inn on Iliff and Coors.

Abdulvahh Cilo was staying at the motel when he pulled the woman employee into his room and sexually assaulted her, according to court documents.

The woman was taken to a hospital. She told investigators she had clocked out of work at 4 p.m. and was walking to her car when a man, later identified as Cilo, began following her, according to court documents.

The woman said Cilo then got into her car, first asked to make a call and then told her he was interested in her. The man then pulled her out of the car and into his room, according to court documents.

After the assault, Cilo let the woman leave the room. She told another hotel worker about the incident, and that worker alerted security, according to court documents.

Police arrived and arrested Cilo on charges of kidnapping, criminal sexual penetration, criminal sexual contact, false imprisonment, interference with communications and battery. He was booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center on Tuesday.
