The University of New Mexico reported fall 2026 enrollment of 24,584 students, a 2.6% increase over last year and the fifth straight year of growth. UNM said the total has grown by nearly 12% over the past five years.
The university said 3,792 of those enrolled are first-year students.
UNM said part of the increase came from a series of strategic initiatives focused on student success.
