New Mexico shifts COVID data reporting from health department (60 characters)
New Mexico has shifted responsibility for compiling certain COVID-19 data from the state Department of Health to the Aging and Long-Term Services Department. The change ends the health department’s daily media reports on long-term care facilities with at least one positive COVID-19 case in residents or staff in the past 28 days.
State officials said the data continues to be tracked by the Aging and Long-Term Services Department, known as ALTSD.
The Department of Health stopped compiling the reports as of February 21, 2022.
Anyone seeking further information was directed to contact ALTSD’s communication staff at [email protected].
