Toys R Us is planning a return to Albuquerque’s Uptown area, according to a listing on the Simon Property Group’s website. The listing describes the store as “coming soon” to the Uptown shopping center, though no opening date has been announced.
Toys R Us shut down more than 700 stores across the country in 2018 after the company suffered heavy debt. Albuquerque’s Winrock and Westside locations were among those closures.
A spokesperson for Uptown told KRQE News they were working to provide more information.
